Summary: The target of the present research was to understand the training of teachers in Physical Education, through the analysis of how the experiences are constituted acquired in the course of the initial training to analyze how they interfere in the relations between the subject and the teacher professionin Physical Education. The conception of the idea of formation is established within the understanding of the social relations established between the subject himself, the others, the environment/the world, which are respectively called self-training, heteroformation and interaction. In this sense, the approach to the problem of research and interpretations were based on the generative concept of the object of the study, which is the understanding of the formative experiences (JOSSO, 2004), and the concept of professional identity Dubar (2005). The options were based on the qualitative approach, using the biographical, which is the search for self-understanding, an expression used to understand the process of human formation before what we are, we do and we want to be. For that, were used as instrument of data collection the narrative interview. Empirical research was developed in the course of Graduation in Physical Education of the CEFD/UFES, with entrance in the field by Seminar Articulador of knowledge. We interviewed 12 students enrolled in the last period of course. In the face of the analyzes made, two syntheses appeared, the first is that the pre-professional training experiences are presented as a reference in the initial training, and in some cases as the main filter to legitimize their presence in the formative spaces within the university. The second synthesis is the insertion in other formative spaces beyond the prescribed curriculum, which indicates an option and an individual choice to have, do and think about training experience and said as something relevant to their training, that is, there is a responsibility of the subject for his/her own formation, being that knowledge from different sources was acquired in these contexts. It is in these formative spaces that legitimize the knowledge acquired previously and during the initial training.

Keywords: Training experience. Initial formation. Professional identity.
