Summary: For many, society has been experiencing a crisis of values. For others, we live the experience of values in crisis. Therefore, we should not lose the opportunity to work on a more humane formation, a formation based on valorative and attitudinal principles. In this way, the school environment becomes an excellent collaborative space for the formation of values and attitudes. The physical education, through competitive sport, offers challenges for this training. The search for an integral formation, caused the Government of the state of Espírito Santo, to implement a new teaching methodology The search for an integral formation, caused the Government of the state of Espírito Santo, to implement a new teaching methodology full time education, through the program Escola Viva. By making a direct relationship between this new educational model, with a proposal of formation in values, we seek to identify the relationship between the teaching of the performance sport, proposed by this integral education, with its pedagogical proposal, having as a focus on the attitudinal dimension. For this, we used the methodology of action research, since the researcher is also the teacher of the group researched. The data were collected in the sports training teams in the handball modality, male and female, in the juvenile category of the CEEFMTI "Daniel Comboni". The instruments used were structured interviews, observation, focal group and document analysis. We realize that the postures of the students/athletes, within the training and games spaces, are based on the values learned within the school spaces. We conclude, that even being this environment of training/sports games, a space loaded with meanings of the competitive system, often interpreted as contrary to the valorative formation, the students/athletes can guide themselves in the training/games spaces through the values learned in the school environment.
